Here is my usual breakfast most days.
Raw Flax Seed Cereal
Instead of dry dead cereal full of additives and sugars let’s eat something living and natural full of protein, minerals & vitamins!
I have Raw B-Flax-D every day for the following reasons:
1) Good source of essential fatty acids (Omega 3 & 6)
2) Good scrubbing fiber
3) Good source of protein
4) High nutritional value loaded with great vitamins and minerals
5) Good bulk that helps fill you up until lunch
6) Great taste that acts as a good base instead of sugary cereals
Method:
Put the following in a cereal bowl:
- 4 tbsp (1/4 cup) ground flax seed (I use B-Flax-D)
- ½ tsp spice (cinnamon or allspice, nutmeg, cloves, ginger)
For variety add one/or some of the following:
- 1 tbsp (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame or poppy seeds)
- 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut or other ground nuts (almonds/pecans/walnuts/hazelnuts/brazil)
- ½ cup of one of the following liquids:
Stir until it is the consistency of porridge; add more liquid to get the moisture level you like.
Raw Almond Milk: Soak 1 cup almonds for 24 hours
Drain the almonds then place them in your blender and add:
- 6 cups distilled water
- 3-6 pitted dates (this will add the sweetness)
Blend well until white and frothy then strain well
